About the session

In 2014, the Chinese government put forward a new strategy for energy security. Since then, all the energy and power system reform in China have been carried out around this principle, which has a profound influence on the energy industry, and puts forward new requirements for the role of power enterprises. This paper describes in detail the background, specific content and impact of China's new energy strategy, and puts forward suggestions on how to deal with it for power enterprises.

Firstly, the background of the new energy security strategy is introduced, and the energy supply and consumption structure, the restriction of energy supply, the impact of energy production and consumption on the ecological environment and the technology level of energy field in China are described in detail with specific data.

Secondly, it introduces the specific content of the new energy security strategy, including energy supply revolution, energy consumption revolution, energy system revolution, energy technology revolution and strengthening international cooperation.

Then, with specific data, it describes the tremendous changes in China's energy supply and demand in the five years, since the new energy strategy was put forward, including the increase of clean energy consumption from 14.5% to 22.1%, the historical decline of coal consumption to less than 60%, and the reduction of energy consumption per unit GDP by 20.3%.

The following paper discusses the impact of the energy revolution on power enterprises in the past five years. In terms of supply, clean energy consumption is more important, State grid has set a target of less than 5% for abandonment of wind and solar, and says non-fossil fuels will account for more than 50% of primary energy by 2050. In terms of consumption, on the one hand, it pays more attention to comprehensive energy services with complementary multi-energy, and on the other hand, it is committed to improving the electrification rate of the society. State Grid proposes that the electrification rate of terminal energy should be higher than 50% by 2050, In terms of system, the traditional state-owned power enterprises are impacted by the power system reform, the reduction of electricity price by administrative order, the opening of distribution network market, and the abolition of coal-electricity linkage mechanism, the adverse policies against power generation and grid companies continues; In terms of technological revolution, power enterprises pay more attention to digital transformation and the introduction of Internet thinking, based on the advantages of existing business experience and business data accumulation, they study and expand service forms in advance to seize market opportunities.

This paper summarizes the changing characteristics of the development strategy of Chinese power enterprises in recent years, and points out the development prospects and main points of ubiquitous power Internet of Things in combination with the internal and external environment of China, and puts forward reasonable suggestions for power enterprises to adapt to the new situation and speed up the role transformation.
