Story transcript:
‘Twas the morning of Christmas
And Santa felt funny
Some very strange feelings
Were going on in his tummy
It could’ve been the journey
When he took to the skies
Tumbling down chimneys
Or too many mince pies
His son Sammy Science
Had a suggestion
‘Let’s have a chat
About your digestion’
They talked about food
And his wind was quite smelly
So he came to the conclusion
He had ‘nervous belly’
‘Oh goodness’, cried Santa
‘I need the nice list’!
So he picked up his tablet
To see who’d been missed
But the app wasn’t working
The tablet was slow
So he called Tommy Tech
His son, who’s a pro
‘The tablet’s too old
I’ll use it for scrap
You can use mine
I’ve designed a new app’
Now poor Mrs. Claus
Was making a roast
But the oven stopped working
And the turkey was toast
Santa was smiling
‘There’s nothing to fear
Our daughter’s a genius
She’s Evie the Engineer’
She soon had it sorted
It was done in a flash
So mum could crack on
With the roast and the mash
But Santa was worried
He saw Mrs. Claus crying
She couldn’t work portions
Even though she was trying
She struggled with numbers
Like subtraction, and addition
So the girl for the job
Their daughter Mollie, the Mathematician
Mollie sorted the veggies
Shared out the peas
Weighed up the mash
With her cool expertise
When they finally sat down
Santa was proud
His wonderful children
Stood out from the crowd
When Sammy was young
He bought him a kit
All about science
It was such a hit
Look at him now
He works in pathology
Working out causes
With the help of biology
When Tommy was young
He bought him a phone
He had a free spirit
But could always call home
Look at him now
All loving and giving
He works in technology
Making apps for a living
