Abstract
Professor Chris Johnson, Head of Computing at the University of Glasgow and Chairman of System Safety and Cyber Security conference 2017, welcomes delegates to the event that ‘combines good practice presentations from industry-leading practitioners together with the latest research suggesting new ways of addressing the challenges that arise at the intersection between safety and cyber security’. Prof. Johnson worked with the US government Pacific North Western Labs under contract to the United Nations supporting the cyber security of Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear facilities around the globe and helps lead forensic capability for the UK civil nuclear industry. He has some 300 peer reviewed publications and will run a workshop ‘A roadmap for improving the cyber-security of safety-critical systems’ at the SSCS on 31 October.
