About the session
This presentation deals with the optimum design criteria for the premium efficiency of a 250-kW traction induction motor, using the response surface nethodology (RSM) and the finite element method (FEM). The focus is firstly on a design solution through the comparison of torque according to the rotor bar shape and rotor dimension variations. In addition, the proposed procedure allows the rotor copper bar shape, rotor slot and rotor dimensions to be optimized starting from an existing motor or a preliminary design.
