As the National Director for SBRI, Karen is supporting the network to develop its role in economic development and wealth creation. Leading the programme for NHS England, Karen supports the funding of small enterprises in developing technology solutions for healthcare problems and supports the work of the NHS England Innovations team in their relationships with industry. Formerly Director of NHS Midlands and East, Karen supported the regional health authority and the Public Health Team to promote closer working across government. Karen led on relations with Local Government supporting development of Health and Wellbeing Boards across the Midlands and East Cluster.
