  • Location: IETTV_Room, IETTV_Venue, London, United Kingdom
  • Part of event SCTE Autumn Lecture

About the session

For the UK, Western Europe, the Middle East and Africa, SCTE has signed an agreement with CTTS, run by Martyn Cook (an SCTE Patron Member), to act as its sole appointed Training Centre. CTTS was profiled in the last issue of Broadband and has, amongst others, City & Guilds approval. It has the experience, facilities and drive to further SCTE aspirations of a universally accredited training scheme. All of the SCTE courses are currently being re-written and brought up to date, and a major marketing activity is to be started by the speaker in the following months. The Society will revert to its prime role in providing certification for successful students as part of their ongoing individual career development. One major change is that SCTE Certificates will no longer be issued ‘for life'. SCTE intends to follow an industry trend of ‘ongoing assessment’ and will revalidate certificates every three years if the holder is still a member of the Society.
