What are the latest emerging cyber threats and actors and what are the latest strategic perspective on cyber monitoring and cyber defences for enhancing CIIP?

    Michael Brand

    Michael Brand is the manager of the R&D group "Resilient monitoring and control" in the energy division at the OFFIS institute in Oldenburg. As the group name implies, they are researching in the area of monitoring and control in cyber-physical energy systems with the goal of making it more resilient. Important topics are here a situational awareness that considers not only the power system but also the ICT system and the application of trust in that context. But the group is also researching in, for example, digital twins and new approaches for SCADA systems. Michael Brand holds MSc and BSc degree from University of Oldenburg, Germany.
