Negative Output Impedance in Three-Phase Grid-Connected Renewable Energy Source Inverters Based on Reduced-Order Model

Session
Tuesday, 06 September 2011
00:00
Duration: 15 mins
Publication date: 06 Sep 2011
Location: IETTV_Room, IETTV_Venue, Edinburgh, United Kingdom
Part of event Renewable Power Generation Conference (RPG 2011)

About the session

This presentation reveals that negative output impedance behaviour is an inherent property of grid-parallel inverters. This is an alarming observation, since negative impedance reduces damping in the grid and will definitely cause stability concerns.
