Abstract
Whilst the development of LED lighting has been rapid, the market is strewn with a mixture of best and worst practice. Steve Davies, a lighting expert, shares his experiences of the best and worst practice regarding LED conformance. The best products make it through the testing procedure, and are showcased by the manufacturer. The worst show issues related to safety, incorrect wiring and the wrong cables. The manufacturers are asked to rectify the issue, however when they are based outside of the UK it becomes very difficult to ensure this is done.
