  • Duration: 23 mins
  • Publication date: 07 Dec 2006
  • Location: IETTV_Room, IETTV_Venue, London, United Kingdom
  • Part of event Wireless Sensor Networks Conference

About the session

Existing 6th Framework research projects in the area of "Mobile and Wireless Systems beyond 3G" assume context as an input. Examples include MOBILIFE and SPICE. A way of capturing context is through ubiquitous wireless sensor networks. The e-SENSE Project will: (1) provide context in a number of application spaces for presentation to a B3G mobile network; (2) advance research in key areas for wireless sensor networks, such as protocols and middleware for adaptive energy-conscious systems; and (3) enhance EU competitiveness in wireless sensor networks.
