Philippa, 25, a manufacturing engineer at BAE Systems, was an Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) 2012 Young Woman Engineer of the Year award finalist.This video shows you the remarkable work Phillippa has accomplished since working as an BAE Systems apprentice back in 2005, to being a qualified BAE improvement engineer working on the F-35 Lightning II aircraft now.Reaching the final of the IET's 2012 Young Woman Engineer of the Year awards ceremony has brought support for Philippa's work, and although she says it still feels odd to be considered a role model, she does enjoy being able to provide advice to others.
