Fortifying Operational Technology: Navigating Cyber Security Challenges in an Uncertain World

TrackPlenary Session

Chair Emil Lupu

Synopsis: In an era marked by rapid technological advancements and evolving cyber threats, the need to secure Operational Technology (OT) has never been more critical. This session, presented in collaboration with industry leaders OPSWAT and Nozomi Networks, delves into the pressing cyber security challenges facing OT in today's unpredictable landscape.

The session will commence with a 10-minute opening presentation that sets the stage by outlining the current state of OT cyber security, emphasising the increasing complexity and interconnectivity of OT environments, and highlighting the pervasive threats that endanger critical infrastructures. Following this our panel will provide a comprehensive exploration of specific issues and collaborative insights around these overarching themes:

1. OPSWAT: Addressing the critical need for robust threat detection and mitigation strategies to protect OT environments from advanced persistent threats (APTs) and other sophisticated cyber-attacks.

2. Nozomi Networks: Exploring the integration of IT and OT security practices to create a unified defence strategy, including real-time monitoring and response capabilities.

3. Capula: Highlighting the importance of regulatory compliance and risk management in maintaining secure and resilient OT systems amidst growing uncertainties.

This will be followed by a 10-minute audience Q&A, allowing participants to engage with the experts and address their specific concerns.

Join us to gain invaluable insights into fortifying your OT infrastructure against the ever-evolving cyber threats in an uncertain world.

Steven Lane, OT Cyber Security Lead – Capula

Rakesh Bali, OT Cyber Security Solutions Manager – Capula

Steven Broadwell, Lead Enterprise Security Engineer - OPSWAT
