We welcomed an external speaker, Nick Wilson to the IET this morning for a talk on men's health, mental health and living life to the full with a disability.
Nick's talk was arranged as part of Men’s Health Week, 12 - 19 June, which raises awareness of preventable health problems that disproportionately affect men and encourages men to take steps to tackle these issues.
Nick will also be leading a workshop at Futures Place on Thursday 15th for men to discuss how they can best support themselves, a friend or family member, with every day challenges, health and mental health. This confidential session will expand on elements of self-care and practical support.
Thursday, 15 June, 1pm to 3pm BST
Taking place in-person in G6 and G7 (Multi-Purpose room) at Futures Place.
