A digital resolution enhancer combined with clipping is experimentally validated by transmitting single channel 600G 64-QAM and WDM 460G 128-QAM over 75 km allowing to reduce the DAC's physical number of bits to 3. Low resolution DACs will play an important role in low-power transmitters.
