About the session

This presentation examines the development of standards for industrial control systems (ICS) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) security. Good practice and standards are reviewed, with a discussion on their future direction.

    Atkins Ltd, UKDr Richard Piggin is a Security Sector Manager at Atkins. Richard has an Engineering Doctorate in Industrial Control Systems communications from the University of Warwick and has previously worked for several control system vendors in network, security and safety-related roles. He is a UK expert to several Cyber Security Working Groups involved in producing ISA 99 and IEC 62443 standards for Industrial Automation and Control Systems Security. At Atkins Richard specialises in working with clients to make their systems resilient in the light of current and emerging threats.
