About the session
2a1 - Challenge and practice on operation and control of large-scale renewable energy base in China
TrackRPG & Future Power Systems 1
This presentation give a brief introduction on renewable energy(RE) development in China. Building large RE base and transfer the power to the load center is one of the major mode of RE development in China, which bring big challenges to power system operation and control, such as large scale trip-off of RE due to lack of FRT capability, wide band oscillation due to weak AC grid and control system interaction. We have done a lot of work to solve these issues including grid code update and comformance test, optimization of FRT parameters, reform of wide band impendance, system strength assessment and installation of distributed condensors. At the end, this presentation introduced some undergoing project on future technique of renewable energy grid integration.
