Mark Coles and Geoff Cronshaw of the IET, explain why BS 7671 needs updating periodically, where these changes come from and take a look at some of the key changes in this latest edition of the IET Wiring Regulations (published by the IET on the 2nd July 2018) that will come into effect from January 2019, such as SPDs, AFDDs and special locations.
