    Michael Stiso

    HCI Group, ICT Division, SINTEF, Researcher

    Dr. Michael Stiso has an educational background in cognitive psychology and a professional one in human factors, with an emphasis in both on human learning, memory, and cognitive capabilities. He has 10+ years of experience in a variety of domains, including telecommunications, military systems, training systems, video games, enterprise applications, emergency management systems, and social media. For the last six years, he has been in the HCI Group at SINTEF, leading the group’s efforts in the DARIUS EU project (Deployable SAR Integrated Chain with Unmanned Systems – 284851) and participating in others such as BRIDGE (Bridging resources and agencies in large-scale emergency management – 261817) and SESAR (Single European Sky ATM Research). His current research focus is on decision support tools to facilitate both skill acquisition and situation awareness, with a secondary focus on serious games for training.
