    Dr. Thomas V. Robertson is North American Director for The International Emergency Management Society (TIEMS, at tiems.info) and Principal at Thinking Teams (thinking-teams.com), a consulting firm that specializes in harmonizing human and machine intelligence. His has played a variety of roles in research and development, from researcher to Chief Scientist to Vice President/General Manager, and he has consulted in the field of Organization Development. He has presented papers and taught courses in a dozen countries, on technical and organizational topics impacting emergency management, and he is serving as an Expert in Small and Medium Enterprises for the European Innovation Council. He writes online content for data scientists explaining recent advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI), and he carries certifications in modern programming languages and architectures for AI. Tom holds BSEE, MSEE, and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Purdue University.
