About the session

This presentation looks at understanding technical language and technical solutions to fit different market structures and commercial constructs. It discusses ways of gaining a common understanding of 'lowest cost', 'best practice', 'engaging with the end user', etc. The Smart Grid Forum (SGF) and WS4 (Work Stream 4: "Standards for Smart Grid Communications and EMC") have been investigating the opportunities this presents and the story so far is disseminated. A number of early projects both in the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) and the Low Carbon Networks Fund (LCNF) have now used the Smart Grid Architecture Model (SGAM) - how can these be leveraged into business as usual?
