This presentation is a short history of how the BBC has covered the action with microphones for sound since the speaker was first involved in broadcasting from Wimbledon. The speaker describes how this has evolved to the current coverage for Dolby 5.1 and its distribution, gives audio and video examples of the above, and ends with some thoughts on how the BBC might progress in the future, with some comment aimed at producers, and also designers/funders of broadcast vehicles.
