Abstract
Bringing a new medical product to market can be a challenging process for some innovators, who may face numerous obstacles when seeking to get their technology adopted. Long lead times, the changing needs of users and strict regulation are just some examples of the barriers they can expect to face, which they need to be aware of before setting out on their journey. We spoke to several experts from UK academic institutions, who offered their thoughts on why some companies struggle to get their innovation into the healthcare system.
