About the session

Ofgem wants companies to put stakeholder needs at the heart of their business, so that companies’ plans align with consumer needs in a rapidly changing world. RIIO-2 will be underpinned by stakeholder engagement, but what does this mean in practice, and what will engagement models look like?

    Rupika Madhura

    RIIO-2 Enhanced Engagement Programme, Ofgem, Policy Head

    Rupika has worked in regulation for more than 13 years in four sectors in the UK (rail, water, electricity and gas). She currently heads up the policy on RIIO-2 Enhanced Engagement programme at Ofgem. Her work experience includes setting price controls, designing and implementing regulatory policies, enforcement, monitoring company performances and large- scale infrastructure framework. Rupika also sits on the Customer Challenge Board of South East Water as an Independent regulatory policy expert. Rupika is an Economist by training and started her career as a Trainee Economist at the Mayor of London’s office. She holds MSc in Regulation from London School of Economics, MSc in Business Economics from City University and BA(Hons) in Economics from Delhi University.
