    Member of the Energy Policy Panel.John Scott is an independent consultant operating from his own company, Chiltern Power Limited. He was formerly Director, Network Innovation at KEMA Consulting Ltd and John’s previous roles have included Technical Director for Ofgem, the British electricity and gas regulator, and Director of Engineering for National Grid Company in the UK.He is a founder member of the GB Smart Grid Forum chaired by the Government and Energy Regulator and was previously vice chairman of the European Smart Grids Technology Platform. He has a number of client advisory roles including Pearlstone Energy and is a Non Executive Director of Smarter Grid Solutions Ltd.John is a Visiting Professor at the University of Bath, UK.He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering & Technology, a former member of their Board of Trustees, and a member of the IET Energy Policy Panel and the Energy Sector Committee.
