    Joe Sonke

    Ofcom, Spectrum Policy Group, Manager of Wireless Broadband and Auctions

    Joe Sonke is head of the Broadband Wireless team in Ofcom. His team has policy and technical responsibilities for spectrum that may be used for providing broadband. He is involved in Ofcom's introduction of economic methods of spectrum management, leading a number of spectrum award projects and contributing to the assessment of requests for spectrum trading and liberalisation. Before joining Ofcom on its creation in 2003 he worked in the Radiocommunications Agency on spectrum management for the broadband fixed wireless access, broadcasting and programme making sectors.
