About the session
On the 1st October 2016 thousands of private pumping stations will transfer to water companies in England and Wales. In some cases the adoption will amount to a significant addition to companies’ asset base. Some of stations are difficult to access, many are in poor condition and all will require ongoing active maintenance and monitoring to mitigate risk. This seminar will ask how companies are preparing for these changes, what are the challenges and barriers and how the transfer can be best managed? It will also explore the ways of standardising and optimising these new assets to minimise costs going forward.
