Webinar
  • Duration: 57 mins
  • Publication date: 11 Mar 2025

Abstract

The C2PA is not short of powerful sponsors. Led by Adobe, Microsoft, the BBC, Sony, OpenAI, Intel, Google, Meta, Sony, Truepic and Amazon, this open-source standard also counts as a member of the major camera equipment providers and some of the largest media companies in the world.

With the proliferation of AI-generated disinformation and deepfakes, regulations in many countries are pushing for the labelling of AI content; the C2PA is increasingly discussed as a potential solution to track image provenance and help media companies regain trust.

In this webinar, we will discuss the drivers for the creation of the C2PA, how the standard can be implemented, the status of its development, how it is likely to operate and what will be the practical applications in content companies.

Leonard Rosenthol, Chair, C2PA TWG, Senior Principal Architect, Adobe.

Laura Ellis, Head of Technology Forecasting, BBC R&D - BBC Light House.
