The UK Government has put significant emphasis on manufacturing as a key element of their economic recovery strategy. To facilitate and provide a focus for these efforts, a National Aerospace Technology Strategy (NATS) has been developed between government, industry and academia for a market-led, jointly-funded research and technology (R&T) programme.
