This year's lecture marks the 40th anniversary of the IFIP ’68 presentations by Dr. Davies and his colleagues, and the contributions that Dr. Davies, the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) and the UK made to the development of the technology of the Internet and the UK’s contribution to the Internet’s future. This presentation looks at the early development work on the NPL Data Communications Network.
