    My career in the water industry began as an Instrument Technician for Northern Ireland’s Water Service in 1988. Since then I have progressed through a number of roles gaining experience and expertise in Telemetry, SCADA, Telecommunications, Instrumentation, Control and Automation.In my current role as Head of Telemetry and Telecoms, I am responsible for the delivery, provision, maintenance, integrity and development of Telecommunications, Telemetry and SCADA at NI Water.

    Raymond held various senior telecommunications posts in UK and the Middle East before joining NI Water in 2007. He studied Technology & Communications at the Open University and received his BA Degree in 1984. He previously obtained an HNC in Electrical & Electronics Engineering with an endorsement in Communications from the Belfast College of Technology. He is a member of The Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE). Raymond has been responsible for delivering innovative telecoms projects including major fiber optic cable systems, “Triple Play”, microwave radio systems, voice & data networks and in 2013, he project managed the deployment of Aprisa SR digital radios into NIW telemetry network and is presently responsible for the Operation & Maintenance of NI Water Telecommunication Network.
