Reconfigurable software based communication - video services in reconfigurable mobile devices

To accommodate and facilitate the flexibility required to deliver future multimedia based services in heterogeneous/composite radio environments, communications systems will need to be increasingly software based. The presentation describes an implementation of the reconfiguration management architecture (RMA) as facilitator for runtime reconfiguration of video codecs within the framework of a reconfigurable software based communication system (RSS).
