About the session

The 2016 Low Carbon Networks & Innovation Conference provides an opportunity to explore the key learnings from electricity and gas network innovation projects. The programme will provide unparalleled networking opportunities in addition to project focused presentations and workshops.

Electricity North West, Innvoation Customer Delivery Manager

Kate has over 30 years experience in the electricity supply industry and has held roles in HR, operational management, customer service and project management. She has managed teams of over 100 employees and has a proven track record in establishing customer operations strategies and delivering against regulatory customer service standards.Kate is leading the customer and stakeholder engagement activities for our key innovation projects. This includes all customer campaigns and surveys that are key to communicating project concepts and assessing customer perceptions of impacts.

Tracey joined Norweb (subsequently Electricity North West) in 1988 and has over 27 years experience in the electricity supply and distribution industries. She has held various roles in operational environments and is a specialist in customer engagement. Tracey has been part of the innovation team since 2014 and is responsible for developing customer strategies and managing customer enquiries linked to our innovation projects. She is responsible for project managing some of our smaller NIA projects and plays a pivotal role in customer and stakeholder engagement activities for our flagship innovation projects.

Electricity North West, Engineering Director

Steve is a highly experienced senior manager and director with over 30 years experience across the electricity supply industry in commercial management, asset management, regulation, operations, training and development. Eight years of this was within a multi industry utility. He has managed teams of over 400 employees across all aspects of distribution engineering and has a proven track record of successful programme management of major capital and IT investment projects. Steve chairs Distribution Code Panel and is a member of the Grid Code Review Panel.Steve is leading Electricity North West’s innovation, strategic planning and policy activities. He has overall oversight of our innovation projects and the quality of project deliverables.

Electricity North West (Impact Research), Head of Impact Utilities

Michael is in charge of the specialist Utilities division at Impact Research with overall responsibility for research projects from inception to delivery. Michael’s primary role is assisting clients with what their customers think and providing real nuggets of insight and managing project briefs and proposals. Michael uses his market research experience to support his team in the successful design, data collection, analysis and dissemination of research projects. He has worked extensively on studies of utility customers’ satisfaction and their willingness to pay for services.
