Abstract
Quantum Enhanced Position, Navigation and Timing
This talk will present a review of atomic clocks, quantum based inertial sensors and single-photon LiDAR systems that have been developed as part of the UK Quantum Technology programme. The performance will be compared with quantum sensors from international work and conventional PNT technology. Some of the challenges using these quantum sensors in field trials and future requirements will be discussed. The talk will also discuss what limits the present technology and what the drivers are for key applications and markets.
