He has technical responsibility and is a key contributor to EA Technology’s low carbon project portfolio; to date this includes the Customer-Led Network Revolution (CLNR) (Northern Powergrid), My Electric Avenue (EA Technology/SSEPD) and Thames Valley Vision (SSEPD) and SAVE (SSEPD). The core focus is on the ability to transfer the outputs from projects into DNO Business as Usual activity.

David has recently worked at General Electric and at Parsons Brinckerhoff, where he gave advice on network innovation, smart metering and smart grids and transmission and distribution projects. He is a Chartered Engineer and member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET). One smart grid patent application pending (management of power distribution constraints). Specialties: Smart grids, network innovation, operation and design of power transmission & distribution networks including in response to Electric Vehicles, Renewable technologies...and the Low Carbon Customer.
