STFC Daresbury Laboratory is renowned for its world leading scientific research in fields such as accelerator science, bio-medicine, physics, chemistry, materials, engineering and computational science.
Particle accelerator research and development programme focusing on accelerator science and technology development. Daresbury Laboratory is home to the Hartree Centre, Accelerator Science and Technology Centre (ASTeC), The Cockcroft Institute and STFC Technology. Activities in the centre include research and development for future particle accelerators, contributions to major international facilities under construction and exciting prospects of technology developments for applications in energy, medical and security sectors.
