This presentation is a panel discussion on the use of information technology and high-definition (HD) video for broadcasting in the 21st Century. It explores the key industry questions, such as how MXF has opened the door to the workflow-based IT production world; what the impact on the broadcasting industry has been of items such as IP, file transfer, compression and networks; and the re-birth of HD in Europe, with emphasis on Prosumer, high-end products such as HDTV and digital cinema.
