Panel Discussion
  • Session
  • Wednesday, 19 October 2005
  • 00:19 - 00:19
  • Duration: 20 mins
  • Publication date: 19 Oct 2005
  • Location: IETTV_Room, IETTV_Venue, London, United Kingdom
  • Part of event 3rd Annual International Telecommunications Synchronisation Forum

About the session

Both fixed and mobile operator's networks are changing rapidly with the increasing migration to packet technology for traffic transmission and access connectivity (next-generation networks). However, the need for good synchronisation remains. There are many legacy applications which rely on reliable synchronisation for effective operation, that in turn leads to better network quality of service (QoS), which will be the big issue going forward in an increasingly competitive environment.
