A number of DNO projects have demonstrated the use of energy storage connected to higher voltage networks. The New Thames Valley Vision project has connected 25 Energy Storage and Management Units (ESMUs) to the low voltage network and assessed their performance. This session describes the key learning regarding the installation, operation and performance of ESMUs as a means to solve thermal and voltage related network issues.
