About the session

In a previous paper, a technique was proposed for reducing clutter in airborne radars equipped with active, electronically scanned array antennas. The technique was supported with data from flight trials which showed a marked reduction in clutter as the antenna was scanned in azimuth. An unexplained rise in clutter was observed as the antenna scanned beyond 30° in azimuth and it was suspected that this was caused by the antenna's interaction with the radome. This presentation re-analyses the scenario using the SPIKE radome code.
