About the session

All Energy 2015 - SECC Glasgow - Wednesday 6th May

DECC & Ofgem’s Smart Grid Forum Vision and Route-map identifies a requirement to explore ways to help development of the UK’s energy system supply chain to enable it to gain access to and benefit from smart grid opportunities presented both in the UK and overseas.  Work Stream 9 was established to try to address the issues and opportunities facing stakeholders who have an interest in, and will benefit from, growth and innovation in the UK’s smart grid supply chain.

The session will draw on the work being undertaken in Work Stream 9 and will provide the opportunity for attendees to contribute to the discussion about:

• The real and perceived issues and barriers that might be constraining the growth of the smart grid supply chain

• How these issues and barriers might be most effectively addressed

• How learning from other sectors might provide valuable insight

• What benefits might be gained from the use and promotion of tools and standards.

The outcomes from the session will inform the work of Work Stream 9 as it builds and consolidates evidence to support the Smart Grid Forum in achieving its goals for smart grid supply chain.
