Abstract
The BBC have just launched an exciting new project to get more young people into coding. During the autumn term 1 million micro:bit devices will be sent out to year 7 students across the whole of the UK. The IET is among the 28 partner organisations involved and will be developing a range of teaching resources, hands-on activity days and teacher CPD events to help everyone to feel comfortable with the technology and inspire the next generation of engineers and technologists.
