Abstract
This #EngShort by the IET looks at whether technology is ready to offer internet voting in a safe and secure way. Flexible methods of voting provide better service and support to voters but we must ensure that solving accessibility issues doesn’t generate a #digitaldivide. 7% of households in the UK don’t have access to the internet. Robust cybersecurity processes must be in place for any #internetvoting system to be considered feasible. If you voted online, would you trust that your vote is safe from #fraud?
