Abstract
Flowtech Controls Limited's innovation Wireless Carbon Monoxide and Combustible Gas Detection and Shut off system for Residential Dwellings has been chosen as the winner of the 2010 Innovation Award for Built Environment. The device provides protection against the dangers of high levels of carbon monoxide and gas through the activation of audible and visual alarms and is able to shut off a gas supply to avoid the risk of explosion.The IET Innovation Awards celebrate the products, technologies and processes that lead the way in engineering innovation.
