Industrial/plant in-building wireless communications networks: applications, deployments, constraints

This presentation discusses: the "office" vs. the "plant-floor" RF environment as two types of "in-building" wireless network categories, requiring different solutions to satisfy applications with different needs and constraints; mitigating interference within industry plants (construction of metal); and dense structures (e.g. underground) - mitigating interference, best frequencies, the best modulation types, frequency-hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) and orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) for wireless local area networks (WLAN).
