About the session
The Active Network Management (ANM) system on Shetland is central to enabling the coordination and operation of many of the NINES elements. This presentation will describe the inner workings of the ANM, the rules by which the Shetland ANM is governed and the equipment required in order to manage this, including the required communications infrastructure. By the end of this session you will have a technical understanding of the elements of the NINES ANM and the way in which an ANM can help manage thermal and generation constraints.
