About the session

In this presentation Jon will explore an everyday way of thinking about the Internet of Things in the city environment. He will propose some potential new ways that value will be created by things communicating with people and each other. He will then share a simple way of describing the technology stack required for the smart, connected city and some of the issues that are now being overcome by the Tech Industry. He will then bring this to life with real examples of additional and “unintended” value created from connecting to a Combined Heat and Power plant in a school and an automated line cleaning system in a pub.
