    Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES), City, Energy and and Carbon Manager from Glasgow City Counci

    As City Energy & Carbon Manager, Gavin is tasked with delivering the strategy for the developing Energy Services Company for Glasgow whilst ensuring Glasgow City Council meets its Sustainable Glasgow carbon reduction targets and its obligations as part of the EU FP7 funded 'Strategies Towards Energy Performance and Urban Planning' (STEP-UP) programme. Gavin's focus is on the delivery of low and zero carbon energy solutions in Glasgow such as district heating and large-scale renewables. Gavin is also responsible for management of the Council's Carbon Management Team. In addition, Gavin is the City Council lead on the TSB Future Cities Energy Efficiency demonstrator projects that form part of the TSB Future Cities initiative. The Energy demonstrator projects cover utilising open data and smart technologies to test demand side management technologies, mapping opportunities for renewables, understanding insulation retrofit performance, energy modelling of Glasgow, and behavioural change
