In this lecture we cover the basic components of electrical circuits: resistors, capacitors, inductors, switches/amplifiers, conductors and insulators. Some common electrical circuits used in particle accelerators are discussed: linear vs switched mode, white circuit, voltage multipliers, Van der Graaff generators, Pelletron, rectifiers, pulse forming networks, Marx generators.
