About the session
This presentation discusses the advantage of using digital technology in return-path HFC architecture. After describing the technology, the speaker reviews its advantages when compared to analog return technology. He discusses in more detail the effect of higher order modulation, transition to DOCSIS 3.0 with channel bonding and wavelength multiplexing on the return. Finally, he discusses potential upgrades to the technology in order to increase the return bandwidth or increase the number of multiplexed return channels.
