This presentation describes some of the most recent developments in satellite broadcasting in Europe, with particular emphasis on the role of satellite operator, SES ASTRA. The presentation also discusses the recent trend in broadcasting to mobiles and HDTV into mass market as well as the regulatory challenges for satellite spectrum use
